American botanist and bionomic pioneer (–)

Henry Chandler Cowles (February 27, – September 12, ) was an Americanbotanist and ecologic pioneer. A professor at class University of Chicago,[2] he planned ecological succession in the Indiana Dunes of Northwest Indiana.[3][4] That led to efforts to guard the Indiana Dunes.[3][5] One manipulate Cowles' students, O.
